Michael and Mendelssohn

Anyone who knows me knows that I love all things German. Composers are no exception. Felix Mendelssohn composed some truly wonderful melodies in his lifetime, and when I wrote these words a few months ago, one of his melodies came to mind. The original was “Grant Us Thy Peace” or “Verleih uns Frieden”, and I think the words and music fit perfectly together.

The Day Dawn is Breaking

Greetings from on the road!  I’m on the road with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and finally had some time to write some music. Here’s my latest offering: The Day

Dawn is Breaking SATB
