Title: Waiting on the Lord

Meter: 10 8 10 8 D

Topic: patience, prayer, endurance

Text:

1.

Sometimes God’s promises are now filled

And others He bids us to wait

For sometimes the stormy waters are stilled

But often the hour grows late.

But never a word is void from God’s mouth

For His power never runs dry.

And His arm reaches all from north to south

He can every beggar supply.

2

Sometimes the mountain moves out of its place

But sometimes our faith must still grow.

Sometimes we will see the light of God’s face

But often He waits to bestow.

But never a word is void from God’s mouth

For His power never runs dry.

And His arm reaches all from north to south

He can every beggar supply.

3.

Sometimes we are saved from the scorching flames

And sometimes God lets us endure

Sometimes the heat of the furnace He tames

But often He waits till we’re pure.

But never a word is void from God’s mouth

For His power never runs dry.

And His arm reaches all from north to south

He can every beggar supply.
