Hymn Text: The Span of God’s Plan

Date: April 26th, 2017
Title: The Span of God’s Plan
Meter: 6 6 6 6 D
Topic: trust, God’s plan, perspective

When my life seems unjust,
I must submit and trust
In the truth of God’s plan,
Its unlimited span.

In its perfect design,
In its details divine,
In its impact profound,
In its symphonic sound.

When our lives seem unfair
We must ever beware
Of the deceiver’s lies,
Of his subtle disguise,

Of his thin, flaxen thread,
Of his whispers of dread,
Of his strong, awful chains,
Of the power he feigns.

When our lives seem devoid
It’s then we must avoid
All our shortness of sight,
All our absence of light

All mortal reliance,
All prideful defiance,
All bitter complaining,
All guile remaining.
